Team Motoriffic’s Alfa Romeo GTV6 will be a part of the Portland Art Museum’s exhibit: Allure of the Automobile, Cars in the Park.The exhibit is on Saturday June 25th from 10:00 to 2:00 and features all Italian Marque’s including Ferrari, Alfa Romeo, Lamborghini, Lancia and others. Come early or wait till the end and hear the “symphony, Enzo. 212 Vignale. 1947 Corsa. Ferrari’s, Maserati’s and Alfa’s.” Enjoy seeing some of the most beautiful cars ever designed.

We’re at Portland International Raceway for the opening stages of the 2011 Oregon Trail Rally, and the Alfa is looking beautiful! We just mounted a new set of pavement rims and tires.

We’ve spent the last couple of weeks working late at night to prep the Alfa for Oregon Trail, and we’re getting more excited every day. It’s an amazing process to watch the car transform… the paint is brighter, the engine smoother, and a few new features are ready to roll. Can’t wait for the first stages on Friday!

Ken Block Pulls 1st Oregon Trail Rally Win During Fundraiser

Ken Block was the first winner this afternoon at the Oregon Trail Rally Fan Appreciation event at Pioneer Square in downtown Portland. Block purchased six raffle tickets in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters Columbia Northwest as part of the Team Motoriffic fundraiser. For his ticket purchasing effort Block was rewarded with the win of haircut and a frosty beer from the award winning Chopperz Non-Salon in Hillsboro. Unfortunately, by the time the winners were announced he had already started his car and most likely could not hear his name over the sound of his muffler, so he has yet to collect his prize. Perhaps we can catch him at the finish line.

Dan Brack was the winner of another other haircut and beer package, and the grand prize of a complete interior and exterior car detailing from Mercedes-Benz of Portland was won by Joey Lancaster. Joey’s car is in for a massive treat. Overall the Team Motoriffic fundraiser raised several hundred dollars for Big Brothers Big Sisters and connected some potential new “Bigs” to the important organization. Thanks to everyone who contributed by purchasing raffle tickets, and to the generous businesses who helped us with the event: Mercedes-Benz of Portland, Chopperz Non-Salon, Voodoo Doughnut for the refreshments, and AlphaGraphics for printing the event schedules and flyers.

We hope to see everyone at Portland International Raceway tomorrow for the first day of the race and remember to cheer for #33 Team Motoriffic. Come watch the fun and find out if Ken Block will take another win this weekend, (his hair will probably look perfect.)

Fumble Again by the Face

I’m eating pancakes…and I am at nowhere.

People from all over gathered in pioneer court house sq today to check out the cars and of course the drivers. People from Canada, Utah, Californa and all over Oregon came out to enjoy the event. Young and old alike were giddy with excitement meeting they’re heros of the dirt. It was a great day for the city of Portland, a great day for our sport and our team, but an even better day for the kids with Big Brother Big Sister. Team Motoriffic held a very successful fundraiser for the “BBBS” thanks to Chopperz the non salon, Mercedas of Portland, and VooDoo Doughnut. And we’ll see you out there tomorrow for the Park Expose at Portland Int’l Raceway.
